YOUR BUYING COMPANION
Get the right fit for your setup.
Three useful checks before you order. Work through them at your own pace.
01Check the contents and fit
Check the actual sockets, not just their diameter: the headset needs a compatible combined audio-and-microphone plug, and the computer needs separate headphone and microphone ports. Plug the headphone branch into headphone output and the microphone branch into microphone input. A headset with incompatible contact wiring may need a different adapter. USB-only devices and microphone support through a headphone-only socket are not covered.
02Choose the right configuration
Review the pack, color and other options. The selected configuration and price identify what goes in your cart; the photograph does not establish pack quantity.
03Plan the first use
Read the setup and care guidance below. For a larger supply order, check one item against the actual fit and intended task before distributing the rest.
Use these checkboxes to track your review. Confirm the selected contents and any fitting or care requirements before ordering.
WHAT IT IS · HOW IT WORKS
One headset. Two separate computer sockets.
Connect a wired headset with a combined 3.5 mm audio-and-microphone plug to a computer that has separate headphone and microphone sockets. This white Y adapter provides one female headset socket and two male plugs, separating the listening and microphone connections. It is one adapter, not a headset or a USB sound card.
Check which way you need to split
This adapter takes one headset plug and separates its listening and microphone paths for two PC sockets. It does not provide two headphone sockets for two listeners.
Match the two computer connections
Use the headphone and microphone markings on the plugs and the computer. The green-marked connection is for headphone output and the pink/red-marked connection is for microphone input. Do not connect both branches to audio outputs.
Finish the setup in your app
After connecting, choose the computer’s headphone output and microphone input in the operating system and calling app. A short playback and microphone-level check confirms that both paths work.

MATCH THE SOCKETS
Separate listening from speaking.
One combined headset connection branches into the computer’s separate headphone and microphone sockets. Match both plugs, then test both paths in your app.
GET SET UP
How to use it.
- 1
Inspect the headset plug
Use a compatible 3.5 mm headset combining listening and microphone connections in one plug. Check the computer has two separate sockets.
- 2
Connect the headset to the adapter
Insert the headset plug fully into the adapter’s female socket without forcing it.
- 3
Connect both computer plugs
Match the headphone and microphone branches to the corresponding computer sockets. A single combined laptop socket needs a different connection arrangement.
- 4
Select and test both audio paths
Select the correct output and input in your app. Play a short sound and check its microphone meter or make a test recording before a call.

BEFORE YOU ORDER
Useful answers.
Will this let two people listen to one device?
No. The female socket accepts one headset. The two male branches connect separately to the computer’s headphone output and microphone input.
Will it work with a laptop that has one combined headset socket?
That socket normally accepts a compatible combined headset directly. This adapter is intended for a computer with separate headphone and microphone sockets.
Is this a USB adapter or sound card?
No. All three connections are analog 3.5 mm audio connections. It does not add a USB connection or digital audio conversion.
Why can I hear sound but my microphone does not work?
Check that the microphone branch is connected to microphone input, the headset uses compatible contact wiring, and the correct input is selected and permitted in your app. Headphone-only sockets cannot accept a microphone signal.
What is included?
One white Y adapter. The headset, computer and any other adapters shown in a demonstration are not included.
