Work from the ends upward
Support a manageable section and use short, gentle strokes through the ends before moving closer to the roots.
Let the dryer do the heating
The openings allow airflow through the head. Keep a separate dryer moving and follow its distance and heat instructions; the brush itself has no heating element.
